Workforce Fairness Institute Reacts To Labor Board Confirmation
Five Member Board Means Agency Can Ensure Balance In America’s Workplaces
Washington, D.C. – Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI) spokesperson Heather Greenaway released the following statement today in response to last night’s vote in the U.S. Senate to confirm President Trump’s nominee William Emanuel to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB):
“With the confirmation in the U.S. Senate of William Emanuel to the National Labor Relations Board, another important step has been taken to restore balance to a government agency which has spent years enacting policies that hurt American employees and employers, and undoing decades of legal precedents. William Emanuel has necessary employment and labor law experience to make a meaningful impact on the five-member board and rectify the decisions reached that have served as a giveaway to union bosses at the expense of workers. As each day passes, progress is being made in undoing an agenda that has been harmful to American workers and businesses, while advancing policies that achieve fairness in labor law and, in return, allow the economy to grow to the benefit of everyone.”
