Workforce Fairness Institute Calls For Federal Aviation Administration Amendment To Be Offered On House Floor
Committee Vote To Be Added To Workforce Fairness Institute’s Congressional Scorecard
Washington, D.C. – Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI) spokesperson Heather Greenaway released the following statement today urging the U.S. House Committee on Rules to allow Representative Bruce Westerman’s amendment (#185) to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization Act of 2018 (H.R. 4) to be offered on the floor of the House:
“The amendment authored by Representative Westerman to the Federal Aviation Administration Reauthorization Act of 2018 is a common-sense measure that merits being heard and voted on by the entire U.S. House. Simply stated, it would eliminate a confusing and potentially conflicting patchwork of workplace regulations associated with flight crew pay and scheduling by ensuring they fall under federal, not state or municipal, jurisdiction. If the amendment is offered, the Workforce Fairness Institute will score this vote on its Congressional scorecard ensuring workers and employers understand whether their elected representatives are standing with them on this important issue.”
